How many spots are available in each workshop?
There are 12 spots available in most workshops.
If I sign up for one workshop then decide I want to join all of them, can I upgrade?
Yes. Just contact us, and provided the workshops aren’t full, we will make it happen.
Is there a discount for signing up for more classes?
Yes! A significant one. Scroll down to the bottom of the home page for a list of prices and discounts.
Do the classes accept “walk-ins”, or do I need to register in advance?
Yes, you can “walk-in”, as long as the workshops are not full. It will be safer, and more economical to register in advance.
What if I’ve never done anything like this before, am I going to be in over my head?
No. There is no experience necessary, no so-called “talent” prerequisites and you don’t even have to identify as an artist to join us. If you’ve never done anything like this before we are thrilled to be your first foray. And lucky you, you’ll have the unique opportunity to try your hand at so many disciplines taught by so many different teachers over such a short period of time, you’ll get a real feel for what speaks to you.
What if I’m already an established writer/performer, am I going to be bored?
Heck no! We are meeting you where you are. Plus, you may have written before, but you’ve never written THIS.
What if I want to take workshops, but I’m not sure about doing those shows?
You will always have the right to pass. Whether it’s an exercise in an individual workshop or the show at the end. Consider it an invitation.
Where will the classes be held?
We will be holding classes via Zoom. All you need is a webcam and a secure internet connection.
What if I’ve never used Zoom?
Fear not, our tech support team will help you sign-up and learn to navigate the software before your first workshop. Plus our “zoom room” will be open one half hour before the workshop begins so you can mingle and problem solve any tech bugs.
What if I don’t live in Phoenix or Arizona and have never even heard of Space 55, can I still join?
Heck yeah! Come on in! We’d love to have you.
